Stabbing left a man in critical condition in Surrey

SURREY — Surrey Mounties arrested a suspect Wednesday afternoon in Whalley after a stabbing left a man in critical condition.

It happened shortly before 2 p.m., near 135A Street and 108th Avenue. Corporal Scotty Schumann said police arrested a man fleeing from the scene.

The stabbing victim was found nearby and was rushed to hospital. A second man was also found nearby suffering from serious injuries that weren’t believed to be life threatening.

“It is unknown if this incident is related,” Schumann said.
