Police investigate serious collision in Burnaby

Police are asking drivers to avoid the area of Douglas Road and Laurel Street after a “serious collision” involving a motorcycle Wednesday morning. Traffic is blocked off in the area. Emergency crews were called to 3300 Douglas Rd. at 6:20 a.m. for reports of a motor vehicle collision, according to the Burnaby Fire Department.The criminal collision investigation team is on the scene. Traffic is blocked off in all directions approaching the intersection.
