Vancouver police say a man was killed last night in what appears to be a targeted shooting.

They say the man was known to police.

Around 10:30 p.m. PT police received reports of multiple shots fired in the 500 block of West 27th Avenue in the city’s Cambie neighborhood.

A man in a silver Kia — which had jumped the curb — was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives from the VPD major crime section are investigating the incident.

Anyone with information is asked to call Vancouver police.
