Snow hits Surrey, Metro Vancouver and the region on Monday morning

The residents of Vancouver who were waiting for snowstorm over the weekend have seen a nice amount of sonw in Metro Vancouer area and Fraser Valley on Monday morning.  Almost the entire region has seen an anticipated snow coming through the region, has been expected five to 10 centi-metres.

Residents in the Surrey area woke up to a thick blanket of snow, looking great, but has also caused a power outage in some areas of Surrey and White Rock.

Public schools in Coquitlam are open, but will have a delayed start time of 10 a.m. Regular dismissal time.

SkyTrians and Bus Services:

SkyTrain operating normally – if falling snow affects the tracks, trains may be held a little longer at some stations. Most buses are operating normally but some delays expected due to snowy road conditions.  Bus #20 – No service between Harrison Loop and Marine Drive due to the snow. Bus #135 – Service terminating at 128 St & Crescent. No service between 128 & Crescent to Sullivan & Kidd.
