Four people transported to hospital after a stabbing incident in Surrey

A woman apparently went on a wild stabbing spree inside a Surrey apartment early Saturday, sending four people to hospital. A pair is facing assault charges. RCMP say at around 12:15 a.m. Saturday, authorities received several 911 calls about a fight that broke out at an apartment in the 10500-block of University Avenue in Surrey’s Whalley neighbourhood.

“A lot of people were out on the street, they were bleeding. I think one guy got cut in the head,” he said.  “There was one guy who kept saying ‘I don’t know what happened she just walked in and started stabbing people.’ They were a bit mouthy (with police) but in the end they were all fine. I don’t think the injuries were that serious. The woman was put in handcuffs.”  Sterling said three of the victims walked to the ambulance, while one man needed a stretcher.
