The crash happened in the 2700-block of 160 Street in Surrey on Thursday night
A mother, father and their three-year-old child sustained only minor injuries after they were hit while crossing the 2700-block of 160th Street. Two adults and a child are recovering after they were struck by a car in South Surrey late Thursday night.
“They were crossing outside of a marked crosswalk, crossing mid-block,” said Surrey RCMP Staff Sgt. Murray Hedderson.
“My understanding is the driver was braking once he perceived they were there, but couldn’t stop in time.”
The driver, a 46-year-old Surrey resident, remained at the scene and is co-operating with police.
Hedderson said alcohol and drugs are not factors in the crash.
